A unit doesnt need to have all these characteristics be super top tier, but they all factor into the 'equation'. Like last time, Versatility, Cost efficiency, Utility, Battlefield performance, and Whether or not they are a Staple of their faction are still the baseline criteria for deciding which units earn the top spot. Many of the old gold medalists have been changed substantially or nerfed/others buffed over the last year and half, so its been interesting to see how things have changed for each race, and how some units still wear the crown. Total War Warhammer 2 has changed a lot since then, so I thought it would be a good time to see which units have shifted in and out of the meta and which are considered top tier for their respective factions.
